Well, this is it, my Brobdingnagian bud. The last of the list of greetings I mustered up for you, and the first, if one goes in reverse order, as frequently happens in cyberspace. Sure will miss our chats, but it’s time to move on to smaller and less important things.

I will take this, our last missive, as a good time to commit to you. I have a vow to take for your sake. May seem silly for someone of my relatively small girth and magnetosphere to vow to come to the aid of a mighty one such as you. But I’m gonna do it anyway.

I have a considerable amount of conciousness in hand here, more than I can handle at times. I am tiny in mass but mighty in consciousness. Thoughts and dreams, feelings, wishes and words, my consciousness swells to fit my infinite imagination. And this is what my imagination says:

I love you world. There’s too much sadness here. Not only in me, but in you. I can feel it. Am I crazy? Yes. Crazy in love. That love is a potent force within my conciousness and within you and within everyone. Love of the earth and love of humanity. Forget the sky for a time. Just let it shine and come to ground. Here we are. You and me.

My vow shall remain just between us. You know what it is, and I will do it, promise.

Your devoted friend,

Brzzt…crackle…fizznxnerkle…beep….

Can you read me, dearheart? I am fading in and out here, though you seem to be as sturdy and global as ever. My transmission may be garbled today.

Funny how you become so much less beautiful when one is sad. Even the trees look droopy to me. A good example of how everything is awareness. One’s awareness creates one’s experience, even if it may not create reality itself. Close enough to make no difference to me today.

Thank goodness for sleep, to re-ravel all the cares that may have become wild and unraveled while one was awake. Ah sleep, nature’s balm. Such a blessing.

I hear horror stories of insomnia, but have never really experienced that myself. I like lying down so much that I don’t really care whether I go to sleep or not, so my slumbering is totally non-stressful. The mind can travel oh-so-far when one is abed, asleep or not.

Guess I might try another pic, hang on for a sec….

That’s enough for today, a beautiful one no doubt, but tinged with sadness by my psyche.

Your schlumpy,

Starting to run out of greetings, dear friend and solar system participant. May have to strike up a correspondence with another part of the universe soon. I can never thank you enough for all you’ve given me and my friends, but even if I’m not writing much to you, be assured I will think of you often with gratitude and love.

Life continues to be a struggle for me and your other micro-doodles, as apparently it’s destined to be, even with the wondrous passages of joy that sprinkle the struggles of lucky people. Maybe the trick is to learn to love struggling. Or just ignore that part and focus on the joy.

All I know is I don’t know. Sometimes that makes me sad and sometimes it’s delightful and intriguing. We live inside a mystery of infinite proportions, so being confused upon occasion may not be a bad thing. Just a normal response to a very weird situation.

I need to remind myself, however, that every time I think I’ve found the answer, that’s just the beginning to another question later. Change is all. Breathe and smile, breathe and smile.

Wondering and wishing,

Are you having gas? We sure are, a very gaseous afternoon, as your gaseous compound we so conveniently call air is whizzing past my windows at a furious rate. All the trees out there are having a jolly time of it, dancing around like green light-shadows on a stick.

The wind, strong though it be, has little effect on my word processing software, so we’re safe here, unless the clouds roll in with something stronger. “Clouds over the mountains mean wind,” as Grandmother used to say, and in this case she is right. A long bank of clouds covers the high peaks of the front range and we are howling.

Spoke with my teacher this morning and she assured me it’s okay not to be perfect. Thank goodness for that. Was starting to judge my capabilities insufficient.

Today’s topic is presence. How does a person become able to exist purely in this present moment? I have no idea of course, since I’m still half in yesterday, but the topic of presence is still today’s topic, in fact is the topic of this very instant.

Can you be here?

Don’t tell anybody, O mighty orbosity, but I’m playing hooky today. Man do I love doing stuff I’m not supposed to. Since I quit my job I haven’t had the opportunity to do much of that until now. I’ve been attending yoga class religiously, but only because I love it so much. Exercise that’s more fun than eating. Alas, how can one play hooky from that?

Thankfully I finally managed to muster up enough goofofficy and sneakability this morning when I woke up to finally feel like I’m doing something bad for once. Blew off two appointed times. Whew, that sure is a relief.

So strap on your cosmic seatbelt, planet o’ mine, we may be perambulating around the universe for a bit here, since I have lots and lots of time for a chat this morning.

I hesitate to speak about what is uppermost in my mind, since it may seem like complaining, indeed may actually be the dreaded thing itself. I complain plenty in my own head and have no need to hear it from others, so my guess is that many folks feel the same way. And you, world, would scoff at anyone’s complaints who has been so blessed by your bounty. But since I’m practicing up on doing the wrong thing this morning, I guess I let ‘er rip.

What’s up with Wisdom Boy? He keep whining to me that unless he starts getting some more questions his head is going to explode from all the pent-up wisdom. Such an unheard-of accumulation of wise-ness must have an outlet. Just the other day he sneezed and the answer to the Fluglehorn computation flew out his nose and smacked me in the face. Pretty gross.

So please, if there are any of my fellow mini-mites out there intercepting my messages to the planet, feel free to drop in to Wisdom Boy’s digs and ask him any question your heart desires, because by his own infallible calculations, he knows everything, or enough of everything to make no difference. He even knows why no one is asking him any questions, but says the answer is so horrible that he won’t tell me, to protect my sanity.

Ha. Maybe he isn’t so smart after all, or he would know my sanity is bulletproof. I’ve been insane and it’s no big deal, just very fast sanity.

They say that pictures add interest to blog posts, so I’m off to try and find something to make this more interesting, since it threatens to break out into an offensively long entry….

Don’t ask. Though it is very worldy, is it not?

Well, let’s see. Haven’t been outside to check up on you this morning, world, but you sure are looking pretty out the window. Come to think of it, some fresh air might hit the spot….

Oh my god, am I insane? What am I doing sitting here looking at these silly words when I can go outside and be inside your June 10, 2008, which looks to be one of your very greatest masterpieces of all time? It’s a wonderland out there. Why I became a writer I’ll never know. I should have been an outdoor hammock tester.

Off to breathe and see….

Your excited,

LWIII

My oh my, you outdid yourself today, my planet-sized punkin. What a Juney day in these parts. Thank you.

My nose thanks you, for all the lovely scents; my hair thanks you, for being tousled so delightfully in your soft breeze; my eyes thank you, for being filled with such unbelievably lush and vibrant greens and blues; my ears thank you for the birdsong and the guy mowing the yard outside; my skin thanks you for the sweet kiss of your cool moving air and the warm touch of your non-fatal sunlight; my mouth thanks you for the almost overripe yet still tasty banana for breakfast; my feet thank you for a place to stand; and my heart thanks you most of all, for the pure joy your beauty has given me today, purely gratis. And all it took was for me to be alive.

Cha-ching! Jackpot.

Some people have all the luck, one guesses.

How to Fix Yourself:

(not you, world, but my fellow eensy squigglers on your surface)

Like anything, there’s a bajillion ways to fix yourself, but here’s what is working (knocking madly on any wood within knocking distance) for me. Screw messing around with old thoughts or memories. That’s yesterday’s news. Funny, but the mind has some difficulty fixing the mind. Go straight to the source. Work with energy and the thoughts will follow.

Break out the body, brother, break out the body. Turns out Cesar Millan really is the new Jesus.

Your miniscule adorer,

Had a wonderful day today, myself. Found out I am much of nothing, which is extraordinarily empowering. All of nature, including mankind, abhors a vacuum, and rushes in to fill it. The most powerful force in the universe is nothing, of which we all partake in dreams.

A mixed bag, as you see. More grist for your inexorable mill, my beloved bringer-forth and devourer of all. What is this mystery, this mystic mix of joy and agony?

Me not know.

And you’re not telling, unless your mouth is everything and I am supposed to be able to read that. My lexicon does not cover life and death, only stuff like time and space and the Mendoza line. O you big glorious ball, you life-and-deather you, what are you doing to us?

What are we doing to ourselves may be more to the point. May God bless those who suffer so.

Always your loving,
