That thing
Tonight’s blog is going to be about that thing. I feel the need to post tonight but not sure what to write about, so I figured why not write about that thing? Everybody gets bugged about that thing. Thing is, what is it?
Hmm…you know, I’m not sure, I may have to check with my butler.
“Hey Zippo, what was that thing we were talking about?”
“The roses, sir?”
“No, that’s not it, that other thing.”
“Oh, ahem. Perhaps you were referring to the unfortunate incident with the….”
“No, shhh, no, not that either.”
“Ah, then you mean the (mumble mumble mumble).”
“Oh, ah…ah ha, hem, haw….”
Oops, nevermind.

You have a wonderful imagination and sense of humor and delight. It’s great to meet another grown-up child. There is so much wonder and awe-inspiring treasure here…to not write about it/paint about it/sing about it seems such a wasted opportunity. Thanks for helping to carry the torch!

Thanks Shekhinah! I am a child, not sure about the grown-up part, but if being old qualifies, I guess I am. I’m so delighted to hear from your Twitter tweets (http://twitter.com/shekhinahshaman)that you’re painting again. There is much of the child’s eyes in your paintings. Such joy, such beauty, such birdlike wonder.

Brought up in a convent, and passed on her demons like all good Catholic Mothers do, used to say… Truly! A *Thing* is an unspecified object!!
Thing Thang Thingy Thingymajiggy Thingywotsit single or plural all evoke that memory for me.
