Off to …hmmm, what am I off to? A grand adventure, for someone to whom excitement the last few years consisted of changing channels. A road trip, that clarion phrase of freedom. Break out those travelin’ shoes.

A chance to get better acquainted with the Rocky Mountains, beside which I grew up and have semi-thrived. Glad to be driving along, over and through them rather than walking the whole way I have to admit, despite any deleterious effects on the environment. I’ll try to drive cleanly.

I’m taking a wireless enabled laptop, so we’ll see if I’m gone from here the whole twelve days. Hope to be able to pop in for a post – send an e-postcard from north of sixty.
